When it’s time, it’s time. There’s no need to struggle with mental or emotional health or addiction any longer. At Fair Oaks Recovery Center, we want to support your courageous decision to get the help you need in every way possible. This is why we have a comprehensive level of healing services to provide a source of help, hope, and healing. Here’s what you need to know.
Our Commitment to Your Quality of Life
Fair Oaks is a Chemical Dependency Recovery Hospital (CDRH). As defined by the state of California, “Chemical dependency recovery hospital” means a health facility that provides 24-hour inpatient care for persons who have a dependency on alcohol or other drugs, or both alcohol and other drugs…It is the intent of the Legislature that the chemical dependency recovery hospital will provide an innovative inpatient treatment program for persons who have a dependency on alcohol or drugs, or both alcohol and other drugs.”
What does this mean to you or a loved one needing essential addiction rehabilitation and dual diagnosis treatment? Quite simply, CDRH is one of the most robust licensures attainable by a treatment facility. Granted by the California Department of Public Health, a CDRH licensure signifies that Fair Oaks Recovery Center possesses the capabilities to provide high-level acuity care that enables our board-certified professionals to address and treat substance use disorder (SUD), alcohol use disorder (AUD), comorbidities, and individuals with multiple substances and co-occurring disorders.
We’re also an inclusive facility that understands the unique needs of special populations. For example:
- Members of the LGBTQIA2s+ community face considerable challenges with addiction and mental health, including systemic healthcare inequities. At Fair Oaks Recovery Center, we strive to be a haven that welcomes everyone in pursuit of quality health and provides them with the detailed attention and resources they deserve.
- We also recognize that not all treatment centers are equipped to address the special circumstances of military and front-line difficulties. So we offer culturally competent addiction treatment for Veterans and first responders through Tactical Recovery, a joint effort with the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Care Network and PsychArmor. This individualized care uses evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed environment proven to promote recovery among Veterans.
Fair Oaks has a continuum of care that includes drug and alcohol detoxification, residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program, and an intensive outpatient program. These levels of care, whether for SUD, AUD, or dual diagnosis, offer you and your family the structure and support needed to begin to restore your lives.
Recognizing the Need for Chemical-Free Balance
Many people hesitate to get quality addiction treatment because they’re afraid of detoxification. While it’s true that some people may have a rough couple of weeks at the beginning of treatment due to their level of addiction and the types of substances used, at Fair Oaks, we specialize in a medically supervised drug and alcohol detoxification process. This provides a more balanced approach to withdrawal management and eases discomfort.
Detoxification is different for everyone. Typically most clients can expect to spend five to seven days in detox. Once detox is complete, the majority of our clients continue through Fair Oaks residential treatment program to ensure that they have a solid footing for long-lasting recovery. Our medical experts don’t advise detoxing at home.
