Medical Cannabinoids and associated derived products have become increasingly available in recent years, with new and different types of products appearing all the time. These products raise concerns and consequences for many consumers. As marijuana legalization becomes more prevalent, the safety and appropriate use of these products becomes imperative. This presentation is Medical Cannabinoids 101 on the current status of medical THC and CBD effects on the physical and mental health of the adult brain. Our discussions will include marijuana, the plant and it derivatives (Delta 8, Delta 9, Delta 10, CBD, etc.), the medical aspects of legalization, the legitimate health concerns of THC, the consequences of these cannabinoid products on pre2nancy and breastfeeding, and what today’s behavioral health practitioner needs to be aware of their counseling practices.

This comprehensive training equips professionals with the knowledge, skills, and strategies required to navigate the complex dynamics of families undergoing reunification, particularly in the aftermath of custody disputes or family separations.
The training delves into the intricacies of reunification therapy, starting with a foundational understanding of its goals and the therapist’s role in altering family dynamics. Participants will gain insights into legal and ethical considerations unique to this field, ensuring that their practice aligns with both professional standards and court expectations.
With a focus on assessment and evaluation, the program teaches therapists to discern underlying family issues, assess individual family members’ needs, and identify safety concerns including domestic violence, and coercive control. Our curriculum explores various models of reunification therapy, integrating theoretical frameworks with practical approaches for both collaborative and court-ordered scenarios.
A significant portion of the program is dedicated to parent education, coaching, and child-centered approaches, offering tools for facilitating positive parent-child interactions and employing therapeutic techniques like play therapy.
