Vicki Hess
Director of Clinical Services
Vicki Hess has 23 years of experience in the mental health field and holds an Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) in both California and North Carolina.
Vicki has been in leadership roles for the past 15 years, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has an extensive background in providing therapy to a diverse patient population and has used various therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Parent-Child Interactive Therapy.
While in the role of Assistant Director of Clinical Services in a North Carolina psychiatric facility, she was offered an opportunity in Risk Management. This role gave her a chance to strengthen her skills in the areas of risk assessments and patient safety as well as regulatory compliance and performance improvement. Upon relocation to California, Vicki served as the Director of Partial Hospitalization Programs and as Director of Clinical Services at local psychiatric hospitals, providing further opportunities to work with the MH population, including dual-diagnosis patients. While serving as Director of Clinical Services in her previous role, Vicki was instrumental in building and supporting a clinical service team, achieving a 100% retention rate of staff during her tenure.
Vicki Hess, LCSW, brings to Fair Oaks Recovery Center a unique perspective and skill set as she spent most of her career in mental health working with individuals dually diagnosed with a variety of substance use and mental health disorders, complex trauma, and extreme environmental and social inadequacies. With over 23 years in the field and 15 of those in leadership roles, Vicki believes a foundational key to success as a leader is staff retention. She prides herself in creating a safe space for all to have the chance to recover.
